Allow me my grief
In all its' ugliness and volatility
In all its' darkness
The shadows on my face cannot be willed away
He is gone
And I am left with emptiness
An engulfing void
That fills daily with tears
And then empties itself until tomorrow, the next day, the next hour, the next few minutes
Acknowledge the reality of my grief
Accept it and all that it is
